Weapons Fate

According to the religious text Devi Bhagwat Puran there was a Demon known as Tripurasur who was very strong and had divine energy and power. Due to these qualities he became proud and started to trouble deities and sages. No one was able to defeat this strong demon in war. On seeing his immoral actions Brahma, Vishnu and Other deities prayed to the Devadhidev Mahadeva Shiva (The greatest, lord of Lords Shiva) to destroy evil Tripurasur. Lord Shiva closed his eyes and meditated for some time. When he opened his lotus shaped eyes tears fell from them on the earth. Wherever his tears fell the Rudraksha tree Grew. The fruits that grow on this tree are known as Rudraksha Beads. Lord Shiva then used his deadly divine weapon known as Aghor and destroyed Tripurasur.
The Rudraksha is a large evergreen broad-leaved tree that grows in the area from the Gangetic Plain in foothills of the Himalayas to South-East Asia, Indonesia, New Guinea to Australia, Guam and even Hawaii.
Rudraksha beads are the material from which garlands (108 beads in number) are made. The term is used both for the berries themselves and as a term for the type of m?l? made from them.
In this sense, a rudraksha is a Saivite rosary, used for japa mala. Repetitive prayer (japa) is a common aid to worship in Hinduism, and Rudraksha m?l? are worn by many Hindus.Rudraksha is also used for treatment of various diseases in traditional Indian medicine.
Rudraksha mala has been used by Hindus (as well as Sikhs and Buddhists) as rosary for thousands of years for meditation purposes to sanctify the mind, body and soul. The word Rudraksha is derived from Rudra (Shiva—the Hindu God of all living creatures) and aksha (eyes). So, Rudraksha is related to Shiva’s eyes.
For thousands of years mankind has benefited immensely from Rudraksha.
